Farm Made Branding Brilliance
Supple Studio’s identity for Somer Valley Brewing feels handcrafted, rooted, and genuinely local. Working on the farm, the team printed, rubbed, and inked assets using hay bales and tractor wheels. They coined the line, From our land, to your hand, and built a tactile system around it. Illustrations, textures, and a simplified badge give the packaging a rough, generous character. The result reads as honest craft, impossible to fake.
The palette samples hedgerows and soil, from Cornflower and Kingfisher blues to barley gold and tilled brown. Cans wear tractor-print chevrons, hay-bale rubbings, and cheeky farmyard characters that bring playful personality to each pour. This identity stretches cleanly across coasters, taps, tees, and the Welly pub collateral. It earned Bronze at the 2026 Brand Impact Awards, a nod to its sincere, well executed storytelling. Read it for process shots, tactile detail, and practical lessons on making place based brands feel lived in.
As a branding curator, I value systems that tell a place based story through process and material. Supple’s work is both pragmatic and poetic, balancing legibility with handcrafted texture. Perfect reading for designers seeking tangible, repeatable craft in modern packaging.
