Bristol Dockyards Reimagined
As a branding curator I champion projects that fuse history with bold visual language. HOW+HOW did exactly that for Bristol Dockyards. They chose a Cliftonwood pink as primary tone, then layered olive, yellow, sky blue, and orange to break maritime expectations. The studio built a collage system from archive drawings, torn edges, halftone texture, and object fragments. It keeps history readable while avoiding museum formality. A sturdy block wordmark and BD monogram anchor the system, while a traditional serif carries manifesto lines like Deeper. Vaster. Braver. The result feels tactile, alive, and locally rooted.
