Granola by Ragged Edge, human first identity with raw detail
As a branding curator, I admire Ragged Edge’s decision to pair Quadrant display type with acid lime. The hand drawn spiral mark injects warmth, its imperfect tail signaling craft and human intention.
They set Melange as the UI font, letting the system feel neutral yet characterful on a near paper canvas. Macro textures and white reversed type on brand cards make photography feel tactile and editorial.
This project resists the sterile AI aesthetic, and returns meetings to human scale. The identity supports a modest, intentional product with tactile details and thoughtful type choices. Design students and brand leads will find clear, disciplined choices worth studying.
Every choice feels deliberate, from the saturated acid lime that reads as a bold signal. A near paper background soothes the eye while allowing color and texture to sing. Quadrant at display scale gives the system gravitas, while Melange keeps interfaces calm and legible. The spiral mark reads like a human fingerprint, it is adaptable across collateral and contexts. Photography crops, full bleed compositions, and reversed white type create a tactile editorial language. It balances craft and clarity with ease.
